Pressure me 1.0
The Begining
Pressure Me” originated in the Dresden apartment of Olga Yocheva, where she, her flatmate Rawi Awayed, and their neighbor Angel Vasilev hosted a series of joint art exhibitions from 2014 to 2019. These intimate gatherings fostered a spirit of collaboration and connection. Inspired by the success of these events, the trio envisioned an initiative where artists could not only exhibit their work but also create it together under a shared theme and strict time limit. Angel Vasilev’s idea became the foundation for “Pressure Me.” As the initiative gained popularity, Weltclub, an international hub and project space, offered to host the event on a seasonal basis, allowing it to grow into a platform that connects local and international artists. Each edition of “Pressure Me” explores a distinct social theme, ranging from inner conflict and feminism to global warming, capitalism, and remembrance.
